South Eugene Axe Girls Volleyball 3-2 Grant

South Eugene's volleyball team gutted out a hard-fought five-set victory Saturday, defeating Grant 3-2 on the road to improve to 16-8 on the season. The Axe, based in Eugene, Oregon and competing in the 6A-8 Midwestern League Hybrid, showed plenty of fight in a non-league match that required them to dig deep and close it out away from home. Winning in five sets on the road is never easy, and Saturday's result speaks to the resilience this group has built over a 24-match season. South Eugene entered the day at 15-8 and earned every point of their 16th win against a Grant squad that pushed them to the limit. The Axe have now built a solid foundation heading into the final stretch of the fall season. With league competition and potential playoff positioning still on the line, Saturday's road win gives South Eugene a confidence boost they can carry into the weeks ahead.
