Junction City Tigers Football 35-0 Cottage Grove

The Junction City Tigers needed a statement game, and Friday night they delivered one. Junction City rolled past Cottage Grove in convincing fashion, 35-0, turning in a dominant performance on both sides of the ball. From the opening drive, it was clear the Tigers meant business, and Cottage Grove never found an answer all night.

The shutout was the real story here. Holding an opponent scoreless says something about the character of a defense, and the Tigers' unit was locked in from start to finish. Meanwhile, the offense kept the pressure on, stacking points steadily throughout the game and never letting Cottage Grove get comfortable or find any momentum.

With the win, Junction City improves to 3-2 on the season, right back in the thick of things after a rocky stretch. A shutout victory like this one does wonders for confidence heading into the back half of the schedule. The Tigers look like a team that's finding its stride at exactly the right time.
