Thurston Colts Girls Soccer 1-2 North Eugene

North Eugene handed Thurston a 2-1 defeat in girls soccer Thursday evening, dropping the Colts to 8-6 overall on the season. The Springfield, Oregon squad traveled to face the Highlanders in a 5A-6 Midwestern League Hybrid contest that carried real weight in the standings. Thurston now sits at 2-3 in league play after the loss, making every remaining conference match a must-win situation for postseason positioning. The Colts managed to find the back of the net once, showing they can compete on the road, but North Eugene's two-goal effort proved to be the difference. Without a full box score available, the final margin tells a familiar story of a tight, competitive league matchup where small details determined the outcome. Thurston will need to regroup quickly and sharpen its attack heading into the final stretch of the regular season. The Colts' next opportunity comes soon, and with the postseason picture still taking shape, there is still plenty to play for.
