Thurston Colts Boys Soccer 1-7 Springfield

Springfield claimed a dominant 7-1 victory over Thurston in a 5A-6 Midwestern League Hybrid boys soccer match played Tuesday evening in Springfield, Oregon. The result was a tough road loss for the Colts, who traveled across town to face a Springfield side that controlled the match from early on. Thurston managed just one goal on the night, unable to slow a high-scoring Springfield attack that found the net seven times. The loss drops Thurston to 3-10 overall and 0-4 in league play, a difficult stretch for a program still searching for its first conference win of the fall. While the margin was discouraging, the Colts have continued to compete through a challenging schedule. Thurston will look to regroup and build some momentum as the regular season winds toward its final stretch. A response on the field in the coming days would go a long way toward finishing the year on a stronger note.
