North Eugene Highlanders Girls Soccer 8-0 Springfield / Mohawk

North Eugene's girls soccer team delivered a dominant performance Thursday night, rolling past Springfield/Mohawk 8-0 in a 5A-6 Midwestern League Hybrid contest played at home in Eugene, Oregon. The shutout victory moves the Highlanders to 13-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 in conference play, keeping them firmly in control of the league standings with the postseason approaching. North Eugene controlled the match from start to finish, pouring in eight goals while keeping Springfield/Mohawk off the board entirely. The lopsided margin speaks to how well the Highlanders have been clicking on both sides of the ball throughout this fall campaign. Coming in at 12-1, they entered Thursday's match as one of the stronger sides in the Midwestern League, and they made a convincing case for that status once again. With the regular season winding down, North Eugene will look to carry this momentum forward and lock up a strong seed heading into the Oregon 5A playoffs.
