Cottage Grove Lions Football 0-63 Marist Catholic

Marist Catholic rolled to a 63-0 victory over Cottage Grove in a Sky-Em League (4A) football game Friday night in Eugene, handing the Lions from Cottage Grove, Oregon a lopsided road defeat. The Spartans controlled the contest from the opening series, building an insurmountable lead that left little room for Cottage Grove to find any rhythm on either side of the ball. Without a detailed box score available, the final margin tells the story clearly. Marist Catholic's defense was suffocating throughout, shutting out the Lions entirely while the Spartan offense found the end zone repeatedly. For Cottage Grove, the loss drops the program to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in league play, making the path through the Sky-Em League standings increasingly steep as the regular season winds down. The Lions will look to regroup during the week ahead and search for answers before returning to action next Friday, with home games offering the best opportunity to build some momentum before the postseason window closes.
