Mapleton Sailors Girls Volleyball 3-2 Eddyville Charter

Mapleton's girls volleyball team picked up a hard-fought road victory Tuesday, defeating Eddyville Charter 3-2 in a five-set non-league match at Eddyville Charter's gym. The Sailors, who represent Mapleton, Oregon, in the 1A-3 Mountain West League, needed all five sets to earn the win, showing resilience in a tight contest that could have gone either way. The victory improves Mapleton to 3-7 on the season, a meaningful boost for a squad that entered the match at 2-7 and looking for momentum. Earning a road win in five sets against a competitive opponent is no small task, and the Sailors showed they can compete when the pressure mounts. With the fall season winding down, Tuesday's result gives Mapleton something to build on as the team looks to finish the year strong and carry that confidence into its remaining schedule.
