Cottage Grove Lions Boys Soccer 7-0 Elmira

Cottage Grove rolled to a dominant 7-0 shutout victory over Elmira on Tuesday in a Sky-Em League (4A) boys soccer matchup played in Cottage Grove, Oregon. The Lions controlled the contest from start to finish, putting seven goals on the board while keeping the Falcons off the scoresheet entirely for a clean sheet that will turn heads across the league. The lopsided win moves Cottage Grove to 8-4 overall and 5-2 in conference play, a strong position as the Lions push toward the postseason stretch. After entering the night at 7-4, Tuesday's performance was the kind of statement result a team needs heading into the back half of league competition. Holding an opponent scoreless while scoring seven goals speaks to both an aggressive attack and a locked-in defensive unit working together. The Lions will look to carry that momentum into their next league contest and continue building their case for a strong playoff run.
