Churchill Lancers Girls Volleyball 0-3 Summit

Summit handed Churchill a 3-0 defeat in girls volleyball on Saturday, sending the Lancers home from Bend with a loss in non-league play. Churchill, based in Eugene, Oregon, and competing in the 5A-6 Midwestern League Hybrid, could not find an answer for Summit across three sets, dropping the match without taking a set on the road. The Lancers entered the afternoon at 11-12 and fell to 11-13 with the result. Playing away from home against a quality Summit program is never an easy task, and the sweep reflects the challenge of late-season non-league scheduling. While the scoreline was not what Churchill hoped for, non-league road games at this stage of the fall offer valuable exposure and preparation ahead of any postseason opportunities still on the horizon. The Lancers will now shift their focus back to Eugene, looking to carry lessons from Saturday into their remaining schedule and finish the season on a strong note.
