Churchill's softball team turned in a dominant offensive performance Thursday afternoon, crushing Summit 21-3 at home to open league play in emphatic fashion. The Lancers put together one of their most complete games of the young season, combining timely hitting with solid defensive play to overwhelm the visiting Storm.

Churchill wasted little time taking control, building an early lead and never looking back in the mercy-rule victory. The 18-run margin of victory showcased the depth and talent in the Lancers' lineup, with contributions coming from throughout the order.

The convincing win moves Churchill to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play, establishing early momentum in what promises to be a competitive league race. Head coach and players will look to build on this offensive explosion as they continue their strong start to the campaign.

Churchill will look to maintain their perfect record when they return to action next week. The early-season form suggests the Lancers could be a force to reckon with in league play.
