Churchill Lancers Baseball 7-9 Lowell

The Lancers couldn't quite keep pace in a slugfest at Lowell on Monday, dropping their first game of the young season 9-7 in non-league baseball action. Churchill's bats stayed hot after a strong 2-0 start, plating seven runs against the Red Devils, but it wasn't enough to overcome Lowell's offensive surge.
The back-and-forth affair saw both teams find success at the plate, with Churchill battling throughout the contest on the road. Despite the loss, the Lancers showed they can compete with quality opponents and generate runs consistently through their first three games.
The defeat drops Churchill to 2-1 overall as they continue building chemistry early in the spring campaign. Head coach will look to get his squad back on track as they prepare for upcoming contests.
Churchill returns to action later this week as they work toward league play. The early-season schedule provides valuable experience against different styles of play before the games that matter most for playoff positioning begin in earnest.
