About this program
Grades 6-8. Playing sports after school is a great way to stay active and have fun with friends. Cross country is a long-distance running sport. During the 6-week season, student athletes will train and compete in a variety of races on various types of terrains. Race locations will be held throughout Willamalane’s parks and natural areas. Practice begins immediately after school, and transportation is provided to and from all races. All athletes report to the gym on the first scheduled day of the program. Race schedules with dates, times, and locations will be released during the season’s second week. There are no programs on no-school days.
