Willamette Wolverines Boys Soccer 3-0 Churchill

Willamette boys soccer handed Churchill a 3-0 shutout Thursday evening in Eugene, Oregon, picking up a key 5A-6 Midwestern League Hybrid victory at home. The Wolverines controlled the match from start to finish, keeping the Lancers off the scoreboard entirely while finding the net three times to secure the clean sheet. The win moves Willamette to 6-5-3 on the season and 3-1 in league play, a meaningful turnaround for a squad that entered the night sitting right at .500. With the postseason approaching, momentum like this matters. Holding an opponent to zero goals while scoring three speaks well of a team finding its footing at the right time of year. Churchill, a fellow Lane County program, will look to regroup as both teams push toward the finish line of the regular season. For Willamette, the focus now shifts to sustaining this level of play and making a strong case for a postseason run.
