Thurston Colts Baseball 4-1 Summit

Thurston defeated Summit 4-1 on the road Tuesday, giving the Springfield baseball team a solid non-league victory to close out their spring campaign. The Colts, who compete in the Midwestern League (5A), put together one of their most complete performances of the season against Summit.

The victory improved Thurston's overall record to 10-12, while their conference mark stands at 7-7 following a competitive league season. The Colts managed to pull away from Summit with timely hitting and steady pitching throughout the contest.
