South Eugene Axe Boys Soccer 4-0 Thurston

Four goals and a clean sheet pushed South Eugene boys soccer past Thurston 4-0 on Tuesday evening at home in Eugene, Oregon, keeping the Axe unbeaten in Southwest Conference (6A) play. The convincing victory improved South Eugene to 9-0-1 overall and 2-0 in league, cementing their place among the top programs in the conference through the early weeks of the fall season. Thurston had no answer for a South Eugene attack that found the net four times, while the Axe defense held firm throughout, earning the shutout on their home pitch. The result marks another statement win for a group that has yet to lose a match all season, dropping just a single point to a draw earlier in the year. With league play heating up and the postseason approaching, South Eugene looks to carry this momentum into its next Southwest Conference test and preserve what has become one of the more impressive records in Lane County this fall.
