South Eugene Axe Boys Soccer 3-0 Springfield

Three unanswered goals carried South Eugene to a 3-0 boys soccer victory at Springfield on Tuesday, keeping the Axemen perfect in Southwest Conference (6A) play. The Eugene, Oregon program improved to 11-0-1 overall and 4-0 in league with the road shutout, one of the stronger starts in recent program history.

Traveling to Springfield is never a formality, and South Eugene answered the challenge with a clean sheet that speaks to the defensive discipline the Axemen have shown all season. With 11 wins and just one draw on the year, this group has proven it can grind out results in different environments and against different styles of play.

The unbeaten run now stretches deep into October, and South Eugene finds itself in a commanding position as the Southwest Conference race enters its final weeks. The Axemen will look to protect that league lead and keep their postseason seeding intact when they return to action later this week.
