Sheldon Irish Baseball 16-8 Beaverton

The bats came alive in a big way for Sheldon on Tuesday afternoon. The Irish baseball team pounded out a 16-8 victory over visiting Beaverton in Southwest Conference (6A) action at their Eugene, Oregon home field.
Sheldon jumped on the Beavers early and never looked back, building a commanding lead that allowed them to cruise to their 13th win of the season. The offensive explosion was a welcome sight for the Irish, who showed their ability to put up crooked numbers when the lineup gets clicking.
Beaverton managed eight runs of their own, but it wasn't nearly enough to keep pace with Sheldon's relentless attack. The Irish improved to 13-5-1 overall and 11-4 in conference play with the decisive victory.
With league play winding down, Sheldon continues to position itself well for the postseason. The Irish have shown they can win in different ways this spring, and Tuesday's offensive showcase adds another dimension to their arsenal as they prepare for the final stretch of the regular season.
