Lowell Devils Softball 9-10 Echo / Stanfield

A back-and-forth offensive battle saw Lowell fall just short Monday night, dropping a 10-9 non-league softball decision to Echo/Stanfield at home. The Red Devils entered the contest with momentum from a strong 6-1 start to the season, but couldn't quite close out what proved to be a wild affair between two capable offenses.
Both teams found success at the plate throughout the evening, with the lead changing hands multiple times before the visitors managed to pull ahead for good in the later innings. Despite the loss, Lowell showed the kind of competitive fight that has defined their solid campaign to this point.
The setback moves the Red Devils to 6-2 overall while maintaining their strong 3-1 conference record. With league play continuing to take priority, this non-conference result won't derail what has been an impressive spring for the program.
Lowell will look to bounce back quickly as they continue their pursuit of a strong finish to the regular season and potential postseason positioning.
