Oakridge Warriors Softball 18-13 La Pine

Two offenses came to play Friday afternoon as Oakridge softball survived a wild 18-13 shootout against visiting La Pine in non-league action. The Warriors needed every one of their 18 runs to hold off a persistent Mustangs squad that kept answering throughout the afternoon at Oakridge High.

Both teams found their rhythm at the plate early and never let up, combining for 31 runs in what became one of the highest-scoring games of the young spring season. Oakridge's offense proved just explosive enough to stay ahead despite La Pine's relentless pressure.

The victory improves Oakridge to 3-1 overall as they continue building momentum in the early weeks of the 2026 campaign. While the Warriors will be pleased with their offensive production, the defensive miscues that allowed 13 runs will need attention as league play approaches.

Oakridge returns to action next week looking to tighten up their defensive play while maintaining the hot hitting that carried them through Friday's thriller.
