McKenzie Eagles Softball 21-4 Umpqua Valley Christian / Camas Valley

The McKenzie softball team found their offensive rhythm in a big way Saturday, pounding out 21 runs in a dominant road victory over Umpqua Valley Christian/Camas Valley. The Eagles turned what started as a non-league matchup into a showcase of their hitting prowess, cruising to a 21-4 win that evened their season record at 2-2.
The explosive offensive output marked a significant turnaround for McKenzie, who had been searching for consistent run production through their first three games. Against UVC/Camas Valley, nearly everything clicked as the Eagles put together multiple big innings to pull away from their hosts.
The lopsided victory should provide a major confidence boost for McKenzie as they continue building toward league play. Getting the bats going in such emphatic fashion gives the Eagles valuable momentum and shows the potential of their lineup when everything comes together.
McKenzie returns home this week looking to carry this offensive surge into their next matchup and continue climbing back toward the .500 mark as the spring season progresses.
