Junction City Tigers Boys Soccer 2-5 Marist Catholic

Marist Catholic came away with a 5-2 victory over Junction City in a Sky-Em League (4A) boys soccer match played Thursday evening in Junction City, Oregon, leaving the Tigers with a tough opening result to process. The Spartans controlled the flow of the game and put together an efficient offensive showing, building enough of a cushion that Junction City could not close the gap despite finding the net twice on the night. It was a difficult way to open league play, with the Tigers falling to 0-1 on the season and 0-1 in conference standings. The two goals from Junction City show there is some offensive capability to build on, and the coaching staff will have film to work with as they look to tighten things defensively before the next outing. Junction City will look to regroup quickly and respond with a stronger effort when they return to action next week.
