Marist Catholic Spartans Girls Soccer 8-0 North Bend

Eight goals and a clean sheet on the road told the story Thursday night, as the Marist Catholic girls soccer team dismantled North Bend 8-0 to stay perfect on the season. The Spartans, based in Eugene, Oregon, and competing in the 4A-4 Sky-Em League, made the trip to the coast and left no doubt, controlling the match from start to finish against the Bulldogs in league play. The dominant performance pushed Marist Catholic to 16-0 overall and 11-0 in conference, keeping the Spartans firmly in the driver's seat as the regular season winds toward its conclusion. A shutout of this magnitude on an opponent's home field speaks to the depth and defensive discipline this group has displayed all fall. With an unblemished record this deep into October, Marist Catholic has positioned itself as one of the top programs in 4A, and all eyes will be on whether the Spartans can carry this momentum into the postseason.
