Mapleton Sailors Football 66-18 Creswell

Mapleton's football team turned in a commanding performance Friday night, routing Creswell 66-12 in a non-league contest played in Mapleton, Oregon, lifting the 1A Sailors to a 4-1 record on the season. The lopsided final score left little doubt about which team controlled the evening from start to finish, as Mapleton's offense generated points in bunches while the defense kept Creswell's attack largely in check throughout the contest. The 54-point margin of victory is a strong statement for a Mapleton squad that has now won three of its last four games and looks to be building momentum heading deeper into the fall schedule. For a program competing in the 1A classification, performances like Friday's help establish confidence and depth across the roster, giving younger players meaningful experience in a blowout setting. Creswell drops the result in a tough road environment. The Sailors will look to carry this energy forward as league play approaches and the postseason picture begins to take shape.
