Junction City Tigers Girls Soccer 1-5 Cottage Grove

Cottage Grove handed Junction City a 5-1 defeat Tuesday evening in a 4A-4 Sky-Em League girls soccer matchup played in Cottage Grove. The Tigers made the road trip from Junction City, Oregon, but could not slow down a Lions side that controlled much of the contest and converted five times on the night. Junction City managed a single goal in the loss, a result that was not enough to keep pace with the hosts. The defeat drops Junction City to 8-13-1 overall and 5-6 in league play as the Tigers work through the final stretch of the 2026 fall season. With conference standings tightening at this stage of the year, every result carries added weight for a Junction City squad that will need to string together some positive performances down the stretch. The Tigers will look to bounce back in their next outing and close the season on a strong note.
