Junction City Tigers Boys Soccer 3-1 Cottage Grove

Junction City picked up a road win Tuesday night, defeating Cottage Grove 3-1 in a 4A-4 Sky-Em League boys soccer match played in Cottage Grove. The Tigers from Junction City, Oregon, used a three-goal performance to secure the victory and move their overall record to 8-10-2 on the season. The win improves Junction City to 6-5 in league play, a meaningful result as the Sky-Em standings continue to take shape late in the fall campaign. Playing away from home, the Tigers controlled enough of the match to build a two-goal cushion, and despite a Cottage Grove tally that kept things interesting, Junction City held firm to close out the result. The Lions could not find a second goal to mount a real comeback. With the regular season winding down, Tuesday's result gives Junction City some positive momentum heading into their final league contests. The Tigers will look to build on this road win as they push for the strongest possible finish in the Sky-Em standings.
