Crow Cougars Baseball 6-12 North Marion / Gervais

North Marion/Gervais pulled away late to defeat Crow 12-6 in non-league baseball action Thursday afternoon. The road loss drops the Eagles to 4-5 overall while maintaining their 1-0 conference record.
Crow battled throughout the contest but couldn't contain the Huskies' offensive surge in the middle innings. Despite putting up six runs, the Eagles found themselves chasing North Marion/Gervais for much of the game as the hosts capitalized on key scoring opportunities.
The non-league setback won't impact Crow's conference standings, but it serves as a valuable test against quality competition from outside Lane County. With nearly half the season complete, the Eagles have shown they can compete with anyone on their schedule.
Crow will look to bounce back when they return home for their next contest. The Eagles have demonstrated resilience throughout the early portion of the campaign, and this experience against North Marion/Gervais should provide important lessons as they head into the heart of their conference schedule.
