Springfield Millers Football 7-19 Crater

Crater pulled away from Springfield for a 19-7 victory Friday night, handing the Millers a road loss in non-league football action. Springfield, representing Springfield, Oregon, and competing in the 5A-SD5 Special District 5, entered the contest at 6-2 but could not generate enough offense against a determined Crater squad. The Comets controlled the night, building a margin that Springfield could not overcome despite finding the end zone once. Crater outscored the Millers 19-7 across the contest, limiting Springfield's opportunities on both sides of the ball. The loss moves Springfield to 6-3 on the season, a record that still reflects a strong foundation built through the first nine games. With the postseason picture coming into sharper focus across the 5A landscape, the Millers will look to regroup quickly and finish the regular season on a high note, giving themselves the best possible positioning heading into playoff contention.
