Cottage Grove Lions Girls Soccer 5-1 Junction City / Harrisburg

Cottage Grove's girls soccer team handed Junction City / Harrisburg a convincing 5-1 defeat Tuesday evening in a 4A-4 Sky-Em League home match in Cottage Grove, Oregon. The Lions controlled the contest from start to finish, putting together one of their more complete performances of the fall season. The five-goal output gave Cottage Grove a decisive margin that was never really in doubt, and the defense held firm after conceding just one goal on the night. The win moves Cottage Grove to 7-5-2 overall and 6-4 in league play, a solid position as the team pushes toward the end of the regular season.
