Visiting Clatskanie delivered a decisive blow to Willamette's baseball squad Thursday afternoon, cruising to a 12-1 victory in non-league action. The Tigers managed just one run against a Tigers offense that found its rhythm early and never let up.

Willamette struggled to contain Clatskanie's aggressive approach at the plate, as the visitors built a commanding lead that put the game out of reach by the middle innings. The lone bright spot came when Willamette pushed across their single run, but it proved to be too little against Clatskanie's explosive attack.

The loss drops Willamette to 2-6 on the season as they continue working through the challenges of their spring campaign. With several non-league contests remaining before district play begins, the Tigers have opportunities to refine their approach both offensively and defensively.

Willamette will look to regroup quickly as they prepare for their next matchup. The Tigers remain focused on building chemistry and finding consistency as the season progresses toward the more crucial league portion of their schedule.
