Churchill Lancers Boys Soccer 4-0 Thurston

Churchill picked up a convincing 4-0 shutout victory over Thurston in Midwestern League (5A) boys soccer on Thursday evening in Eugene, Oregon, giving the Lancers their first conference win of the fall season. Playing at home, Churchill controlled the match from start to finish, keeping Thurston off the scoreboard entirely while finding the net four times on their own end. The win moves Churchill to 2-7 overall on the year and 1-0 in league play, a meaningful turn after a difficult start to the 2026 campaign. A clean sheet against a conference opponent is exactly the kind of performance a young or rebuilding squad can rally around, and the Lancers gave their home crowd plenty to appreciate. With league play now underway, Churchill will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup and continue building on what was a statement performance in the Midwestern League standings.
