Harrisburg Eagles Softball 2-4 Cascade

Cascade built an early advantage and held on for a 4-2 victory over Harrisburg in Mountain Valley Conference softball action Tuesday evening. The Eagles fell to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in league play at their home field in Harrisburg, Oregon.
The visiting Cougars struck first and maintained control throughout most of the contest, withstanding a late Harrisburg rally attempt. Despite generating some offensive momentum in the later innings, the Eagles couldn't overcome the deficit against solid Cascade pitching.
The loss continues a challenging start to conference play for Harrisburg, which is still searching for its first Mountain Valley Conference win of the season. With league standings taking shape as the regular season progresses, every remaining game carries added significance for playoff positioning.
The Eagles will look to regroup and find their rhythm at the plate as they prepare for their next conference matchup. Harrisburg needs to capitalize on scoring opportunities and tighten up defensively to turn around their early-season struggles in league competition.
