Portland Adventist Academy edged Crow in a hard-fought five-set boys volleyball match Wednesday night, taking the victory 3-2 in what proved to be the evening's most competitive contest. The loss moves Crow to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play as the team continues to build chemistry early in the season.

Despite the setback, Crow showed significant improvement from their previous outings, pushing the visiting Eagles to the limit in a match that could have gone either way. The back-and-forth nature of the contest demonstrated the team's growing confidence and ability to compete with quality opponents.

Coach and players will take plenty of positives from forcing a deciding fifth set against a traditionally strong Portland Adventist program. The narrow margin suggests Crow is beginning to find its rhythm as league play continues.

The team returns to action next week with another home match, where they'll look to capture their first victory of the season and build on the momentum from this competitive showing.
