North Eugene Highlanders Boys Soccer 1-2 Thurston

Thurston handed North Eugene a 1-2 defeat Thursday in boys soccer, dropping the Highlanders to 3-8-1 on the season. The game was played on the road against Thurston, a league opponent of the Eugene, Oregon-based Highlanders in the 5A-6 Midwestern League Hybrid. North Eugene found the back of the net once but could not overcome Thurston's two-goal output, leaving the visitors on the short end of the final score. The result pushes North Eugene's conference record to 0-3, a difficult stretch in league play that has made the path forward challenging. With the fall season winding down, the Highlanders will need to regroup and find consistency on both ends of the pitch. North Eugene will look to snap its conference skid in the remaining league matches, giving a young squad a chance to build momentum heading into the offseason.
