McKenzie Eagles Baseball 11-10 Madras

A back-and-forth offensive explosion nearly saw McKenzie let a big lead slip away before holding on for an 11-10 victory over visiting Madras Thursday afternoon. The River Hawks' baseball team needed every run they could muster in what turned into one of the season's most entertaining contests.
Both teams combined for 21 runs in a game that featured multiple lead changes and clutch hitting throughout. McKenzie appeared to have control at several points, but Madras kept battling back to keep the outcome in doubt until the final out.
The victory improves McKenzie to 5-1 on the young season, matching their best start in recent memory. The River Hawks have shown impressive offensive depth early this spring, averaging over eight runs per game through their first six contests.
McKenzie will look to build on this momentum when they return to action next week. The non-league schedule continues to provide valuable preparation as league play approaches in April.
